What is E-Sharam Card?

A 12-digit Universal Account Number (UAN) and e-shram card will be issued for about 38 crore laborers in the unorganized sector, which will be valid across the country. With this initiative of the government, crores of unorganized workers of the country will get a new identity

Who is eligible for this scheme?

Any worker who is unorganized and aged between 16-59, is eligible to register on the eSHRAM portal.

Any worker who is a home-based worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker working in the unorganized sector and not a member of ESIC or EPFO, is called an unorganized worker.

What are the benefits of e sharam card?

Central Government has developed eSHRAM portal which will be a centralized database of unorganized workers seeded with Aadhaar. After registering, he/she will get an Accidental Insurance cover of 2 Lacs under PMSBY. In future, all the social security benefits of unorganized workers will be delivered through this portal. In emergency and national pandemic like situations, this database may be utilized to provide necessary assistance to the eligible unorganized workers.

Adhaar number linked with mobile number

Note:- If you don't have adhaar number linked with mobile number you can still make E-Sharam Card but you have to visit nearby CSC centre.

Bank account number with IFC code and other important details of bank
Active mobile number linked with adhaar

How to Register?

Step1:Visit https://esharam.gov.in

Click Here

Step2:At the top of the screen you will see "Register on E-Sharam" click on it a new screen will appear.

Step3:Now enter the adhaar linked mobile number and captcha and mark the both questions as No.After entering these details click on send otp.

An otp will be sent on your mobile number, enter the otp accurately and click on submit.

After submission a new window will open

Step4:Enter the adhaar number linked with mobile number and select the otp option.Enter the captcha and click on submit button

Step5:Now you have to enter your bank details like bank account number,IFC code bank name, account holder's name etc(fill the details accurately) Click on submit button.
