According to the latest monthly report of Whatsapp, The popular messaging platform has banned over 2.9 million accounts from 1 January to 31 January 2023. The action was taken to tackle the abuse on the platform. As of January 2023, 1461 reports have been submitted through Whatsapp. A total of 195 cases were investigated and this step was taken.
