According to the latest monthly report of Whatsapp, The popular messaging platform has banned over 2.9 million accounts from 1 January to 31 January 2023. Between January 1 and January 31, 2023, Almost 2,918,000 Whatsapp accounts were banned, the report said adding 1,038,000 of these accounts were proactively banned, before any reports from users.

As of January 2023, 1461 reports have been submitted through Whatsapp. A total of 195 cases were investigated and this step was taken.
