WhatsApp is working to bring out an update for disappearing messages that includes 15 new duration options which gives us greater control over disappearing messages feature. This feature is already spotted in the development of WhatsApp beta for Desktop and will be now available in the future update of the app.
WhatsApp allow its user to send disappearing message which will automatically disappear after certain duration, This is the recently launched feature of WhatsApp previously the feature was already available in other messaging apps like Telegram and Snapchat. Due to this option messages are not stored permanently on the receiver's device the message is automatically disappeared after certain period of time, Undoubtedly this WhatsApp features increases the privacy of your conversation because if the conversation is confidential you can use this disappearing option. Presently there are 3 duration options for disappearing messages 24 hours, 7 Days , 90 Days. According to WhatsApp news tracker WAbetainfo WhatsApp is working to bring out 15 additional durations for disappearing messages which we will be seen in the future update of the app.

In the above screenshot you can clearly see that WhatsApp is working on several new durations for disappearing messages under the more option menu. The update will allow the users to set duration 1year, 180days, 60days, 30days, 21days, 14days, 6days, 5days, 4days, 3days, 2days, 12hours, 6hours, 3hours and 1hour .
